
Saturday, 3rd of September went down as an iconic night in the history of the Nigerian Fashion industry at The Wings Complex, Victoria Island Lagos as Design Shark International fulfilled its mission of finding Africa’s Next Top Fashion Designer .
The Design Shark Fashion Show was filled with glitz , high fashion, impact as well as so many distinguished guests that graced the occasion with their stunning presence.
Some of these distinguished guests included Bamike ‘BamBam’ Adenibuyan, Uti Nwachukwu, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Taymesan, Quick Steph, Tobe & Eronini of The Geng amongst others.
The experience center was a sight to behold as these guests had a great time interacting with one another, treated to a plethora of food and drinks thanks to Belvedere and The Whispering Angel, and Bridget Chigbuefe hosted the red carpet graciously.

The two beautiful hosts – Bolanle Olukanni and Kaylah Oniwo made sure to highlight and celebrate the new generation of African fashion designers, and their potential for connection and creation within the global fashion industry.
10 fashion designers were shortlisted after having over a hundred entries. They had the time of their lives by showcasing their designs on the runway to the distinguished guests that were present and most essentially the illustrious judges consisting of Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Chalya Shagaya, Noble Igwe, Adebayo Oke-Lawal of The Orange Nerd and Oluwatosin Ogundadegbe of The Style Infidel.

After so much deliberation by the judges, 3 finalists were selected from the 10 fashion designers. Sense Of Humour (@senseofhumourng) came in as the 2nd Runner Up, Yanga Trybe (@yanga_trybe) was the 1st Runner Up while the winner of the maiden edition of the Design Shark International Fashion Show was Ola Raey .
For emerging as the winner of this competition, the fashion designer, @ola.raey gets an all-expense paid trip to participate at the Portugal Fashion Week courtesy @designsharkinternational .
